Your business might be small but you still need (and it deserves) a big web presence. Put my 20+ years of professional experience working for “big companies” to work for you.

Working together we’ll create a site that will keep customers informed and engaged by ensuring they can easily find you online. Provide your contact information, business hours, location, and feedback via a secure contact form. Make certain there’s easy access to learn about your business, hire your services, or find out where to purchase your products. You’ll have the option to tie your business site into your social media presence – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.

This solution can be launched in 4 to 6 weeks, if you’re good at doing “your homework”. Using a mobile-ready and responsive WordPress framework and your content, I’ll build and launch your small business website with your existing branding. Your site will be customized to support your existing branding or you can add-on the task of creating your brand identity. Here are my two basic business packages that will get your business on the web and rolling in style.

Entrepreneur Package

This package would be great if you’re an Etsy, Ebay, Instagram, Pinterest, or Spoonflower seller, an independent consultant or service provider, food truck, author, or band. Here’s the outline of the process and expectations, for your web site development.

Web Planner + Branding Review + Information Dump = Design Brief & Final Quote
You’ll need to provide me your goals for the site, and any information you’d like to have published when the site launches. Together we’ll also discuss your competitor’s sites, and I’ll do some basic research in your market. I’ll also need to review your current branding so that I can match design elements and colors to your existing materials. From there I’ll figure out the sitemap, and suggest customization of the framework theme that will suit your brand and needs, all of this information will go into a design brief for your review and approval. Any additional “homework” will be assigned to you at that time – homework usually means I’ll ask you to write additional page content for your site, provide me with links to social media, provide me with your logo, branding or style guides, and sharing any additional images you’ll need on the site. We’ll also discuss any additional “nice to haves” before coding begins.

Hosting + WordPress Install + Theme & Plugins = A Functional Site
Once you’ve approved of the brief, timeline, and committed to your homework we’ll need to find your new website a home. I will assist you in securing your web address and hosting (your cost varies by host and hosting package chosen). Then I’ll do the WordPress installation, setup on your host, and up to 3 email addresses. Install recommended Plug-ins, the theme framework, and create the child theme to suits your Brand. This semi-custom option will include Google web fonts, and a color scheme and to match your current branding.

Your content + Images + Exciting Page Design = Personalizing Your Site
The next step involves setting up your front page, creating a secure contact form, your blog feed, menus, up to 5 additional pages, and a media gallery. Setup of sidebar & footers, links to your social media accounts – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. and inclusion of one social media feed onto your site sidebar or footer. You’ll get all standard features of an affordable, template-based, site plus some advanced features like an animated slider on your home page, and a location map on your contact page. I’ll also include up to five quality stock images if needed, plus social media sharing buttons to make it easier for others to share your site.

I’ll ensure that your content and photos are optimized & formatted for search engine friendliness – that’s SEO and it’s important. This includes image alt tags, image compression, and installation of the YOAST SEO plug-in. I’ll also submit your sitemap to Google, Bing, and Yahoo once you’ve signed off on your sitemap.

Review + Change Request + Extras = Your New Website
At this point I’ll ask you to take a few days to “test drive” your site; In return you’ll need to provide me with a bullet list of any changes you’d like made, once that list is completed I’ll provide you with your CMS training session. That’s RIGHT! I’m going to provide you with ONE (one time) 1-2 hour Content Management training session online via Google Hangouts. I’m going teach you on how to make edits to your website, so you can make the changes as often as you need to and keep your content fresh and exciting.

Also included: Tips document, tutorial on how to create additional email addresses, and details on how to manage your Menu, Sidebar and Footer areas.

Do you need more?

Okay, so maybe your business needs a little more than the starter basics. This means custom page templates, complex forms, newsletter setup, custom icons, images, or infographics, etc. These pieces of content can take your site to the next level, and I can do that.

Small Business or eCommerce Package

Perhaps you need to take your existing site to the next level, need interactive forms for custom products or quotes, need to develop a sales funnel, want to include audio, video, or additional sliders, would like an interactive appointment calendar, or do you need an eCommerce solution? That’s just a small list of things you may need for your business site, here’s the process to make that happen.

Web Branding Review + Information Dump via Skype or Google Hangouts = Design Brief & Final Quote
Much of this first step will be the same as with the Entrepreneur Package above. In addition, I’ll need specific details on the advanced features you want to incorporate into your site. Once you’ve approved the design brief, I’ll provide you with a final quote for the scope of work.

Hosting + WordPress Install + Theme & Plugins = A Functional Site
This phase is identical to the Entrepreneur Package above with the addition of installation and configuration of any Plug-ins required to support your site needs.

Your content + Images + Exciting Page Design = Personalizing Your Site
I’ll do all the traditional setup included in the Entrepreneur Package and then begin creating additional content, developing up to 3 custom page templates, or features we’ve agreed upon. I’ll create up to 20 content pages. I’ll include up to 10 quality stock images if needed to support your site design. If I am developing an eCommerce site this is when I’ll setup your product database with up to 10 products, configure your PayPal payment gateway, and up to two shipping methods.

Review + Change Request + Extras = Your New Website
At this point I’ll ask you to take a few days to “test drive” your site; In return you’ll need to provide me with a bullet list of any changes you’d like made, once that list is completed I’ll provide you with your CMS training session. I’m going teach you on how to make edits to your website, so you can make the changes as often as you need to and keep your content fresh and exciting. I’ll also provide you with ONE additional 1-hour follow-up training session or maintenance hour during the first 60 days after the launch if you find there’s something you need additional help with.

Also included: Tips document to keep your content fresh, tutorial on how to create additional email addresses, and details on how to manage your special features.
